this really is not a comment but i was wondering what you could tell me about purple garlic

    • christopherranch says:

Hi Carol: Certain varieties and several sub-varieties of garlic are purple, but if you’re seeing it in the stores right now, it’s probably from Mexico. Google “purple garlic” to see lots of examples of purple garlic around the world.

Hi Ryan, do you sell to the public and if you do what variety grows best in Ga?Thank you.

    • christopherranch says:

Hi Tatyana: Best to check with your local farmers or garden supply to see which grows best in your area.

I missed the garlic festival this year in Gilroy so I didn’t get my braids. I’m down to the last bulb. Is there any way to order the garlic braids like the ones sold at the garlic festival?

Hi – I just bought a bag a bag of the California heirloom garlic and had a question about how it’s grown. I know it’s not certified organic (I would have chosen this if available). Do you use any sprays or pesticides while growing?

    Thank you!

    • christopherranch says:

Hi Kathy: Our conventional garlic is grown using Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). We use pesticides and fertilizers but our garlic is certified Pesticide Residue Free by Nutriclean. We practice minimal usage of fertilizers, pesticides, water and tractor work as part of our sustainability program. We also use drip irrigation which further reduces our use of pesticides.

I’ve been doing some reading on garlic varieties and picked up a small bag of your organic garlic at the store today. Didn’t see the product listed here, but wondered what variety your organic is? Thanks!

My local costco in Utah no longer carries Christopher Ranch Fresh Whole Garlic:( All I can find locally is the chopped or crushed garlic in the jars or the peeled garlic. Is there any way to get the fresh whole garlic?

    • christopherranch says:

Every year at this time, Costco discontinues our product to make room for other holiday items. They usually restock after the first of the year but if you don’t see it, please ask the produce manager to re-order it. Check with Albertson’s for our fresh garlic.

    Hi,

I understand your Monviso garlic is the best out there! I cannot find your Monviso garlic anywhere in the western suburbs of Chicago. Where can I purchase 5 pounds of your Monviso garlic. My zip code is 60143. I know Costco sells your garlic but not the Monviso.

    Thank you,
    Dee

    • christopherranch says:

Hi Dee: Costco has our 3 lb. bags of Peeled Garlic and it is our Monviso.
