Our Fresh Shallots are golden pink/red in color, an oblong shape, and have a papery outer skin. They have a sweet, mild flavor and possess thickening properties ideal for creating sauces. When selecting shallots, make sure they are dry, plump, and firm with no decay or sprouts. Most shallots have two or three clove-like sections.
Delicious, unique, and versatile, our Fresh Shallots are sometimes described as a cross between garlic and onions, but milder and more aromatic. They can be eaten raw or cooked, in a variety of ways.
